Raku Glazes

The following are a few basic Raku Glazes, given in parts by weight;

CAUTION!!! USE DUST MASKS WHEN HANDLING DRY COMPOUNDS AND OXIDES. FIRE OUTSIDE WITH GOOD AIR CIRCULATION AND BEWARE OF FUMES DURING FIRING.

Clear and White Basic Glazes

(mix with water for cream like consistancy)

For gold luster, add to base:

Silver Nitrate @ 1%

Bismuthsunitrate @ 1%

For copper luster, add to base:

Red copper oxide @ 2%

Bismuthsubnitrate @ 2%

Coloring Oxide Solutions
Use to paint under or over
basic glazes. Play around
and see what happens!
(mix well with water for
watercolor like application)
